All tech companies say the same thing: product teams need to look for the stories behind the data. It is important to hear from the user’s mouth what underlying motives and feelings they have. I agree but this does require certain interview techniques.
In this role, I had the opportunity to help teams with the conversations with bol.com’s selling partners. Sometimes I just listened in and gave feedback afterwards, sometimes I took part in the conversations myself.
In this way, I was able to speak to more than a hundred selling partners and train dozens of colleagues in conducting quality conversations.
